The Steelworkers union welcomes this verdict. Serious workplace injuries and fatalities have continued to occur without consequence to supervisors or companies. Unfortunately, enforcement of the Westray Law has been rare, but in this case, we are getting some action.

The contribution will help deliver urgent aid including shelter, basic needs and emotional support to people who have been impacted by the wildfires in Nova Scotia.
